Once upon a little back

Me lil' back sent me off to the doctor yesterday.  Doc gave me Methylprednisolone (that's an 18 letter word - lol).  :]

Mom picked it up today.  I haven't taken it yet.  I have to go over all the papers that came with it.  Write down my meds I take and call the pharmacist to make sure I can take it without killing myself.

All the warnings on it sound really scary.  I might stick with my hot water bottle.  It's safer.

Anyway,  Tiger and Squeeky are asleep on the futon.  Naturally, Jeff and Bindi are out playing in the rain.  LOL

That's pretty much been my week.  It's been a tough one and I'm ready to crash.  Hopefully, next week will be better.  :]

Off for another nap!  Have a great evening everyone!

I have pain constantly. My daughter recommended a book to me (she works with physicians etc.) and this book is becoming THE way to treat pain. It shows how misalignment of the body is a huge problem and shows how to retrain the muscles.
I have begun reading and see that it's going to help me a lot. Its highly recommended by pain management specialists.
Its called Pain Free, a revolutionary method for stopping chronic pain bye Pete Egoscue.
You might want to take a look.

Thanks Lemono! I'm reading the excerpts on Amazon and putting the book on my wish list.

A lot of my daily pain (not my back which never hurts until my latest acts of stupidity LOL)is controlled by yoga.

The Gazelle is helping my back a lot. The back and forth motion massages the back muscles.

It gets a bit comical. All my back pain has always been from dumb things:

1. Throwing a fat guy to the floor in Karate. I weighed 115 - he weighed close to 200. I won. My back lost. LOL

2. Dropping the 200 pound barbell on my back - it hit me twice trying to get back over my head. It hit that too.

3. Hyper-extending during chin ups.

I'm my own worst enemy. LOL

Are you nuts doing those things? I sure hope you feel better soon. But you have to watch what you do somewhat.

3 squirrels saw you referred to me as being nuts and were greatly offended that you took their favourite foods name in vain. They demand an apology and 300 pounds of nuts. (happy grin)
